Illustration and Brand clothing line: The Pink Elephant

The Pink Elephant clothing line is designed around the idea of a 1940's jazz club brought into a modern setting. A large part of my inspiration is from a dream sequence in the Disney film Dumbo (1941). Dumbo drinks water contaminated with a bottle of hooch that a circus roadie accidentally dumps into his trough. Dumbo then has a very involved hallucination involving pink elephants and wakes up to discover he can fly. Another part of my inspiration came from an historical jazz club that still has the original luxurious fittings of the 1940's.
